Youth Leadership Development Foundation (YLDF) in partnership with Oxfam concluded the activities of the open day of the program Camera is the Voice of Youth.
the Open Day of the program aimed to to show the suffering of Yemeni women under the conflict by showing six films that explained the resilience of Yemeni women, despite suffering.
In conclusion, the coordinator of the Camera is the Voice of Youth program in YLDF Kafia al-Afif said that the project implemented in Sana’a and Hodeidah in April to December 2015 aiming to increase the knowledge and skills among Youth so they can effectively participate in community development and raise knowledge in the Yemeni society.
For her part, Amt al-Razzaq Jahaf, the head of Yemeni women against the aggression initiative said that the Yemeni women was to put solutions and alternatives for all the things that the conflict deprived her from.
“The Yemeni women today have made us confident that the future will be the future of Yemeni women because she has been able to prove its existence and bear the suffering,” she added.
Najla Rawia a members in the program’s judge committee said that the Yemeni women will not be defeated by conflicts but it made her a maker of peace at home, work and community, “If women continued the same power and remained an influential figure she will reach to a large leadership positions.”
